Nursing Program!!

I am the worst blogger ever!! haha, but I will try to do better! I found out yesterday that I was accepted into the Nursing Program here at Dixie for next semester! What a relief and blessing it was to hear those words. This is why:
1. I have wanted to be a nurse since I was about 12 years old.
2. I wanted to be a nurse so bad that I did all that I could at my age to get closer to becoming a nurse ( I became a CNA at 16... the youngest age allowed to recieve your CNA.)
3. Throughout high school, I took every class I could possibly think of to help me better understand the health care providing field... (First Responder and EMT-B.)
4. I knew without a doubt in my head that I wanted nothing more than to be a nurse when I was the only one in our EMT-B class who was able to see a baby be born!! I absolutely loved it!
5. I came to Dixie not only because I received a scholarship, but because I knew they had one of the top nursing programs in the entire state!
6. I did not expect to get in my first time applying, but so glad I did!
7. I wanted to be accepted to Dixie's Nursing Program more than any other school!
8. I had back up plans for the next semester if I wouldn't of made it into the program of choice which I am so greatful I did!
9. The timing of me getting into the program worked out perfectly since Thomas will be graduating in about a year and a half ( same with me now:))
10. My dream finally came true and now I can see a light at the end of the tunnel and oh man is it shining bright! :)

6 Month Anniversary...almost!

I have been so bad about blogging the last few months!!! I guess I just was so overwhelmed with school, I forgot to do it!!! So this will be a PICTURE OVERLOAD to catch you all up!!
I have been selling beanies!!! These are some of the beanies and blankets that I made so these little cuties could get there pictures taken!!

We recently bought a tent so we could go camping over Easter Weekend! We were so excited about the tent that we had a camp out at our house before so we could test it out! haha I didn't want to sleep on the living room floor so we put it on top of our bed!! It was a very brilliant idea and it will definitely be something we do with our kids!
We decided to go camping at  Sand Hollow for our first Easter together! It was so much fun to get out and relax!!

Easter Sunday we both put on Easter egg hunts for each other it was so fun!
The semester went by real fast but I am happy its over! Thomas and I did AMAZING in all of our classes and I had the opportunity to help out with graduation because I am an ambassador.President Monson was going to be the guest speaker for the commencement and to make a long story short, and I am not quite sure how it happen but so grateful it did, I got to meet the Prophet of God! It was an amazing moment and I was able to hug him and laugh with him and shake his hand and it will definitely be something I will remember forever.

Other news! I started a new job as a CNA down here and I am loving it! I am excited for the future to see where life takes us!

i LOVEd today!!

Thomas and I decided to celebrate Valentine's early this year because we are both going to be so busy tomorrow with work and school!  What better thing to do than celebrate a little love a day early!! We both set limits on what we could get each other ( because we are broke), but that was just fine with the both of us! Thomas had to work on Friday and Saturday so we couldn't do anything those two nights. While Thomas was at work on Saturday, I decided to make cupcakes for him! They turned out great although my skills in drawing on cupcakes is lacking quite a bit! On Sunday was the big day and we went to church of course, but after we had planned to make homemade pizzas for each other and since it was Valentines Day of course we made them in the shape of hearts! They turned out AWESOME and were soo yummy! We had such a great day and I honestly can say with out a doubt that I love him more every day!
Enjoy our pics! Happy Valentine's Day!!

Hard at work or hardly working??

Happy Valentine's Sunday!

I LOVE that he loves me!

Say Hello to Mrs Betty Crocker Jr..... and Ralphy!!

Well I know it has been awhile since my last post and a few things have changed. School is in full swing now! we are underway for the Spring Semester and are so busy! We are so busy throughout the day that we hardly get to spend time together (it will pay off in the long run...hopefully) and often time I don't get home until 7 or 8! Although we are not fans of these long days, we are so grateful that we are going to school and that we both have jobs(especially in these hard economic conditions). Which leads me to my next point... Thomas Got A JOB!!! One day while walking through the halls of one of these buildings here at Dixie, I saw an ad for a place in the mall hiring. It was called Sunstop, and I texted Thomas about it. He said he would call the guy and see if they were still hiring. I kind of knew he wasn't interested in this job but being the GREAT husband he is, he went and interviewed with the guy. He got Hired!! He loves it( much to my surprise) and they are awesome to work around his schedule with football and school. Another point... Thomas started off-season football last week!!!They started running  and lifting as a team last week! He runs( with his team) at 5 in the MORNING ( glad it's not me) and then lifts later that day 4 days a week for both!
We also decided to expand our little family... No its not what you are thinking... WE BOUGHT A FISH!! He is the cutest little guy and we love him! We named him Ralphy because we thought the name was super dorky but it also had some significance( the little guy on the Christmas Story is named Ralphy and that is the first movie we watched the first time we hung out... cut I know!)
Since we are so busy during the week, we have a hard time finding a decent hour to sit down and have dinner together. We often times just make something small like spaghetti or grilled cheese and things like that. One thing I always try to do is, make meals on the weekend (especially for Sunday Dinner).  I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY CROCKPOT! It is a complete life saver! I throw the food together in the morning and let it slow cook all day long!! so easy! I also sometimes do this throughout the week! In the last few weeks i have make cranberry-orange drumsticks, cranberry pork roast, chicken and rice, and sweet and sour chicken! Here is some pics of my amazing Betty Crocker Skills!!!
Our Fish Ralphy Ramage!

Oh a little side note, we hit our 2 months anniversary this last week and I came home to find a note and dinner made from my hubby. he couldnt share it with me because of class but I loved it!
Sweet and sour chicken!!!

All of these recipes were so great I recommend all of them!!! :)

Honeymoon to San Diego!!!

Well Christmas break this year was unlike any other break we have ever had! We happened to travel the whole southwest corner in 3 weeks! (don't do that) Although it was A LOT of traveling, it was a lot of fun visiting my family and friends and Tom's family and friends, along with some alone time along the way... aka Honeymoon. My mom happens to be the "cheapest deal" finder in the family for trips to different places so we turned the role over to her to help us try and find a place we could go for our Honeymoon. I really wanted to go to some place in California because I have never been there before! So she found an awesome deal at a resort in San Diego!! We headed to San Diego a week before school started and it was so much fun! We were only there for four days (because that's all we could afford) but we took every second that we had to go places in San Diego. We flew from Las Vegas to Sand Diego and arrived at noon in San Diego,

We decided for the half of a day that we had we would go visit a place called Old Town( free shuttle from the hotel to Old Town... we are cheap) We had a great time seeing all of the old buildings and going through all of the old shops ( which reminded me a lot of Mexico). That night we were so tired from all of the traveling, that we decided to relax and sit in the hot tub at the resort!

The next morning we were off to Sea World! It was sooo much fun. I had been to the Sea World in Texas when I was younger but had forgotten how big a Killer Whale actually is!! They are HUGE! We watched 2 Shamu shows, a dolphin show, and a sea lion show and they were all so awesome! We also got to interact with the animals at Sea World like petting the Sting Rays, and Dolphins and things like that! We had a BLAST!

The next day we decided to go to the San Diego Zoo! They say it is the best zoo around and they are totally right! we saw some sweet-looking animals and the landscape was amazing!! IT was a great honeymoon and a great way to end our Christmas break!

Christmas and New Years!!

We went to Colorado for Christmas this year! It was so much fun hanging with family and friends and getting to see my cousin for the first time after 2 years! We played spoons and spades and lots and lots of HALO to keep us entertained throughout the whole break. Thomas bought me a movie and a Bengal's Ochocinco jersey which is so awesome!! And I printed a sweet pic of him playing football this year that he had never seen and a sweater vest! We had a great time with my family for Christmas and then we went up to Provo for New Years! It was a blast getting to spend time with Thomas's family and being a part of all their traditions! Here is some pics from our fam bringing in the new year at Grandpa Ramage's house!
